Chiang Kham District

Amphoe Chiang Kham ( Thai อำเภอ เชียงคำ ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the northeastern province of Phayao. The Phayao province is located in the northeastern part of North Thailand.

Geography

Amphoe Chiang Kham is bordered from the south clockwise, seen on the Amphoe Pong and Chun in the province of Phayao, Amphoe Thoeng in Chiang Rai province, as well as Amphoe Phu Sang again in Phayao. In the northeast the province Sayaburi of Laos lies.

Management

Amphoe Chiang Kham consists of ten sub-districts ( tambon), which further into 134 villages ( Muban ) are divided.

There are four small towns ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

  • Chiang Kham ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล เชียงคำ ) consists of parts of the tambon yuan,
  • Ban Sai ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล บ้าน ทราย ) consists of the whole Tambon Wiang,
  • Fai Kwang ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ฝาย กวาง ) consists of the whole Tambon Fai Kwang,
  • Yuan ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล หย่วน ) consists of other parts of the tambon yuan.

In addition, there are seven " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
