Chiara Rosa

Chiara Rosa ( born January 28, 1983 in Camposampiero ) is an Italian athlete who had reached the finals in the shot put at several major international championships.

Rosa won the 1999 bronze medal at the World Junior Championships, 2002, she finished fourth at the Junior World Championships. In 2003, she was the Fourth European U23 Championships, 2005, she placed third. In 2005 she won her first Italian national champion titles, up to and including 2011, she was awarded the title every year.

At the European Championships 2006, she reached her first major international final, finishing in eighth place, a year later she was also eighth in the World Championships 2007. Having occupied the fifth place at the World Indoor Championships in 2008, she also reached at the Olympic Games 2008 finals, finishing in 13th place. In 2009 she won the silver medal at the Universiade behind the Cuban Mailin Vargas. After Rosa had not reached a grand finale in the years 2010 and 2011, she won the bronze medal at the European Championships 2012 in Helsinki.

Chiara Rosa starts for Fiamme azzure in Rome. The 1.78 m tall athlete studied languages ​​at the University of Padua.
