Chiara Siracusa

Chiara Siracusa ( artist name Chiara, born September 25, 1976 in Valletta) is a Maltese singer. International fame she reached through repeated participation in the Euro Vision Song Contest. There, she called herself only Chiara.

Life

In 1998, she won the Kanzunetta Maltija għall - Ewropa / Malta Song for Europe, entitled The One I Love did, so she was allowed to represent the Euro Vision Song Contest 1998 in Birmingham, United Kingdom, Malta. In Birmingham, her song reached the 3rd place.

In 2005, she again won the Malta Song for Europe, this time with the book written by her own title Angel. When Euro Vision Song Contest 2005 in Kiev, Ukraine, their song reached the 2nd place.

When Maltese preselection for the Euro Vision Song Contest 2009 on 7 February 2009 at TVM Chiara Siracusa won by televoting, entitled What If We. With this song, she represented her home country in the final on 16 May 2009 in Olimpijski Arena in Moscow. There she was unable to repeat the two previous successes and finished the victory of the Norwegian Alexander Rybak a 22nd place.
