Chiasmocleis albopunctata

Chiasmocleis is an amphibian genus of the family -mouthed.

Description

The pupils are round. The tongue is elliptic, entire, and in the back half can be lifted freely. Palate teeth are missing. Between the tiny eustachian Tubae runs a short membranous cross bar. The eardrum is invisible. The fingers and toes pointed end and have simple bony phalanges. Webbed missing. The Praecoracoide are cartilaginous, ossified slightly on the front edge and extend in a convex arc forward. The Omosternum missing. The sternum is an anchor-shaped cartilage plate. The transverse processes of the Sacralwirbels are strongly broadened.

Occurrence

The genus occurs in Panama and tropical South America north and east front of the Andes.
