Chicago Grand Prix (tennis)

The ATP tournament from Chicago ( officially Volvo Tennis Chicago, previously Chicago Grand Prix) is a former American men's tennis tournament, which was played from 1985 to 1991 in Chicago, Illinois. Played indoors on carpet coverings, venue was the UIC Pavilion. Between 1985 and 1987, the tournament was held as part of the Grand Prix Tennis Tour, after which it was organized as an invitation tournament three years. In 1991, finally, the tournament took place once in the ATP Tour; as part of the ATP Tour, it ran in the ATP World Series, the predecessor series on the ATP World Tour 250

Record winner of the tournament is John McEnroe, who won the only player to the event more than once with two wins. In general, American players were strong at this tournament, always won the double a player from the United States, in single Boris Becker is the only foreign tournament winner.
