Chicomuselo is a municipality in the central southern part of the Mexican state of Chiapas. The municipality is located in the Sierra Madre de Chiapas.

The name of this place comes from Nahuatl and means place of the seven jaguars. This municipality has about 31,500 inhabitants and an area of 999.9 km ². Administrative seat and largest town of the Municipalities is the same Chicomuselo.

The municipality borders the Municipalities Chicomuselo La Concordia, Socoltenango, Frontera Comalapa, Bella Vista, and Ángel Albino Corzo Siltepec.
