Chiffon (fabric)

Chiffon ( from the French, ship from Arabic: " transparent material", " gauze " ) is a fine, transparent fabric made of strong rotated natural or artificial silk crepe yarns. Chiffon has a fine, irregular surface appearance and a " sandy " handle.

A 50 x 50 cm chiffon cloth can be hidden compressed in a fist. Chiffon cloths are good for dance representations as they fall due to their large surface area and low weight ( high air resistance) gently and slowly to the ground when they are thrown into the air.
