Chigasaki, Kanagawa
Chigasaki (Japanese茅ヶ崎 市, -shi ) is a city in the center of Kanagawa Prefecture.
Geography
Chigasaki lies south of Tokyo and Yokohama, west of Fujisawa and east of Hiratsuka in Sagami Bay. A stretch of beach in Chigasaki Southern Beach is whose lead singer Kuwata Keisuke comes after the pop group Southern All Stars from Chigasaki, called. As a popular seaside resort Chigasaki is known as the birthplace of Japanese surfing. A shop called Goddess was the first surfboard shop in Japan. The symbol of the Southern Beach is Eboshi - iwa, a large hutformiger from the coast visible rock.
The coastline of Chigasaki to Kamakura is called Shonan.
The Sagami flows through the city from northwest to southwest.
