When proper names are fun without meaningful background.

Occupation

  • Rupert Browne (vocals )
  • Ed East ( lead guitar )
  • Steve Bond ( drums)
  • Trevor Wensely (synthesizer / keyboards)
  • Boris Exton (synthesizer / keyboards)

History

The band originally consisted of six members. Short term: the cast was complemented by a bass player. After graduating, Luke left the band, which has since played in five judges. First, they signed a contract with the local label Sink. Then they went to Major sublabel Iceland Records. After the Iceland contract broke up, they signed the Berlin independent label Kitty -Yo. The latter helped to increase the popularity of the band in continental Europe.

Style

Initially, their music was very funk -heavy, but they became more and more towards Electronic and Pop. The sound of the band is determined by both the guitar and by two keyboards, which act as Melody ( Extons Casio ) and as a rhythm section ( Wesley ) and thereby replace the bass player. Radio 1 (Berlin- Brandenburg) made some of their songs on regional earwigs, so Hello, You Said, and please please. Browne's stage show reminiscent phase, a little on the macho gesture of the front men of the blue -based British bands of the 1960s and 1970s such as Robert Plant or Bon Scott, but is broken by theatrics and friendly relaxation every now and then.

Trevor Wesley and Boris Exton have an academic degree in music. All band members write songs.
