The children care clinic gGmbH Berlin -Brandenburg in Bernau bei Berlin is a non-profit family-oriented rehabilitation clinic for heart and cancer-stricken children and adolescents. It was opened on 13 March 2009.
The children care clinic is where the concept of family -oriented Rehabilitation ( FOR) to modeled after the follow-up clinic Tannheim. The children care clinic consists of four detached two-storey buildings each with living units and a therapy house. In addition to medical care, occupational therapy, physiotherapy and psychotherapy, the clinic offers a nursery, a school, a swimming and sports hall and a youth club.
The clinic has capacity for 28 patients and 72 family members.
The clinic is located in the forest settlement, a district of the city of Bernau bei Berlin. There are former residential building by members of the East German government.
