Chilly (Somme)

Chilly is a northern French village with 207 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the department of Somme in the Picardie region. The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Montdidier, in the canton of Rosières -en- Santerre and is part of the Communauté de communes du Santerre.

Geography

The church in the countryside Santerre is 6 km east-southeast of Rosières -en- Santerre on the road department D39. It extends north to the railroad track Amiens Laon. In the east, the disused railway line Chaulnes - Roye is not reached.

History

Chilly received as an award the Croix de guerre 1914-1918.
