China News Service ( CNS) is according to the Xinhua News Agency is the second largest state-owned news agency in the People's Republic of China.

CNS was founded in 1952. The news agency has agency offices in every province in mainland China and in Hong Kong and Macao. Furthermore, there are agency locations in various countries, including the United States, Japan, France and Australia. CNS is run presently by Beixian Liu. CNS is headquartered in Beijing.
