China Radio International

China Radio International ( CRI; Chinese中国 国际 广播 电台, Pinyin Zhōngguó Guoji guǎngbō Diantai, short国际 台, Guoji TAI ), formerly Radio Beijing, is the state 's international broadcaster of the People's Republic of China. The abbreviation comes from the English name CRI China Radio International. CRI operates the most extensive service abroad in Asia. History

China Radio International started began broadcasting on December 3, 1941. Domestic events, assessment of world politics from the Chinese perspective, language courses and intercultural understanding are the focus of the programs. His program radiates the transmitter in standard Chinese ( Putonghua ), four Chinese dialects and 56 languages ​​from, including English and German ( since April 15, 1960).

Technical details

The station has over 50 shortwave stations in China and uses a relay station in Mali. Other transmitters in Russia, France, French Guiana, Spain, Albania, Canada, Luxembourg and Finland are under cooperation agreements with other broadcast companies available.
