China Railways DF11

The DF11 is a diesel-electric, Chinese locomotive. It was developed by the locomotive factory Qishuyan based on the DF9 and is used by the China Railway. The commissioning began in December 1992 at the Guangshen Railway.

General

This locomotive was built for the traffic on the Guangshen Railway, where they should carry with 160 km / h passenger trains. A first prototype was built based on a locomotive of DF9 Series, in 1990. The maximum speed of 140 km / h to 160 km / h was raised by the engine and transmission were changed. The first locomotive, DF11 0001 was completed in December 1992 and extensively tested to August 1993. The last locomotive was put into service in 2005. There were made a total of 459.

The engine is a diesel engine of the type 16V280ZJA, a generator and six JF204C ZD106 DC traction motors equipped. The DF11 is a 640 t passenger train (12 cars), with 167 km / h in the plane pulling a passenger train in 1100 t (20 cars) at 143 km / h

DF11 -0400 2008 was irreparably damaged when railway accident of Zibo and then scrapped.
