Chinese Taipei Ice Hockey League

The Chinese Taipei Ice Hockey League ( CIHL short; Chinese中华 冰球 联盟) is the highest ice hockey league in the Republic of China.

History

The Chinese Taipei Ice Hockey League was first held in 2004. The league is divided into two different divisions. While competing in the International Division the more powerful teams in which especially foreigners from countries with a long play hockey tradition, predominantly indigenous players coming into the Open Division for use.

Parallel to the game mode in the league, the CIHL an All-Star team, which participates in ice hockey tournaments in Asia. The Taiwan Typhoon won 2009 the International Land of Smiles tournament in Bangkok, Thailand.
