Chinese water torture

The Chinese water torture is a method which is rumored that it was suitable to torture people. In this method, the victim must remain bound under cold dripping water, which should cause a pain. The effectiveness of this method has not been established. The Chinese water torture described in belletristic literature, eg by the author Karl May as a "drip torture."
