Ching Ling Foo

Ching Ling Foo (actually Chee Ling Qua; * 1854 in Beijing, † 1922) was a Chinese juggler and magician.

At the age of 16 he began to study Chinese magic. In Beijing, he was appointed court conjuror. In 1898 he went with his show in the U.S., where he stayed for three years. Here William E. Robinson began to imitate his show, which was a rivalry between the two. He then traveled through Europe and returned to China. In 1914 he went back to the USA.
