Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep is a song that was written in 1970 by Lally Stott and Giacomo Tosti. In the recorded version of the song Stott reached the Top 15 in the Netherlands. It was known in the recorded 1971 version of the group Middle of the Road internationally and a number -one hit in the UK charts as well as in Australia, Norway and Switzerland. Worldwide, more than ten million singles were sold.

A version of Mac and Katie Kissoon reached number 20 of the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 charts. A German -language version under the title tear from the hut! was taken up by Mickie Krause 2003
