Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (song)

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is a song composed in 1968 by the Sherman brothers and was texted. In the sung by Dick Van Dyke and Sally Ann Howes version of it was used as a film song in the film Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and nominated Best Song for an Oscar in the category.

The song is about a miracle car of the same name, which can both ride, swim and fly. The song was also used in the same musical, which in 2002 had its premiere at the London Palladium.

The song was repeatedly gecovert, including from The Shadows, by Percy Faith, Alvin and the Chipmunks and Franck Pourcel. A German -language version of the song with lyrics by Günter Loose was sung by Rex Gildo. A jazz version comes from Eddie Higgins.
