Use
Chlormephos is used as an insecticide against soil insects such as wire worms in a number of plants. It acts as an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor and its major metabolite is ethion.
In Germany, Austria and Switzerland No pesticides are allowed to contain Chlormephos as active ingredient.
