Chmielno ( German name: Hop Mountain, Belgard ) is a village in the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship and is part of the municipality ( gmina ) Bobolice ( Bublitz ) in the district of Koszalin ( Koszalin ).

Geographical Location

Chmielno located 39 kilometers southeast of Białogard ( Belgard ) and ten kilometers west of Bobolice on the border of the circles Białogard and Koszalin. The place is nestled in a tranquil wooded landscape. Station is 13 km away Grzmiąca ( Gramenz ) on the railway line Szczecinek - Kolobrzeg.

History

Prior to 1945 hops mountain was a housing estate in the town Schmenzin (now Polish: Smęcino ) within which it along with Lindenhof ( Lipowo ) and Wilhelm height ( Ujazd ) and eight other living quarters is mentioned in the 19th century. The place was in official and civil registry district Schmenzin district Belgard ( Persante ) within the district court area Belgard.

Beginning in March 1945 hops mountain was occupied by Russian troops, it was followed by the expulsion of the German population. The place came under the name Chmielno in Polish hands and now belongs to the Gmina Bobolice in powiat Koszaliński.

Parish

Hops mountain was vicarage of the parish Schmenzin to the places Dimkuhlen yet (today Polish: Dzięciołowo ), chaff, large free stone hut village, Neuhütten ( Nowe LOZICE ) and Wilhelm height were ( Ujazd ). The parish was established in 1905, was previously a part of it but the parish noseband ( Nosibądy ). The parish Schmenzin - hop mountain belonged to the Church of the Church Province of Pomerania Belgard of the Protestant Church of the Old Prussian Union. In 1940 it counted 820 members of the congregation.

Today Chmielno belongs to the parish of Koszalin ( Koszalin ) in the Diocese of Pomerania - Greater Poland the Polish Evangelical-Augsburg Church.

Village Church

The hop Berger church is a building of blocks and was built in 1907 by architect Utech from Belgard. Building owner was the Countess von Kleist. The tower emerges from the nave out easily and is covered with a tent roof.

The consecration took place on 1 Advent of 1907. A year later played for the first time the new, from the Sauer organ workshop in Frankfurt ( Oder), built organ (the same organ builder built including the famous organs in the Berlin Cathedral or St. Thomas Church in Leipzig ).
