Chocomel

Chocomel is a chocolate milk that is produced by FrieslandCampina in Aalter, Belgium. It is in the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium ( as Cécémel ) in supermarkets and gas stations available. The advertising slogan is "Our one and only ", or " De enige real" and " Le seul vrai " ( to German as: " The only true ").

The brand name is chocomel since 1930. He went to the Dutch language use over and there is generally referred to the chocolate milk.

In the Netherlands and Belgium, there are the versions vol of whole milk, Halfvol with skim milk, light with less sugar and sweetener and mocha coffee note. In Germany, only the volume variation is distributed so far. It is composed of 50 % milk, 30 % skimmed milk, 6.9 % sugar, 1.9% powdered chocolate together ( of which 1.3 % cocoa) and the stabilizer carrageenan.

Chocomel is available in 1 liter glass bottles and Tetra Paks in 0.25 l cans and glass bottles as well as in 0,2 l Tetra Paks and plastic bottles. In Germany chocomel in 1 liter Tetra Pak, in 0.25 liter cans and 0.2 liter Tetra Paks is offered.

From 2007 to 2012 there was also chocomel Hot capsules, from which you could prepare hot chocolate milk in the Senseo coffee machine. Since the capsules differed in the shape and volume of the usual for Senseo machine pads, one needed a special holder. Although the capsules are mentioned on the manufacturing side, they are no longer commercially available.
