Cholemia

Under Cholämie (Greek chole, " bile ", haima "blood" ) refers to a poisoning of the blood with bile components.

In Cholämie the blood levels of bile acids and bile pigments, which leads among other things to a yellowing of the serum increased.

This is due to a transfer, or an occlusion of the biliary tract or damage to the liver cells themselves

In the result, there will be trouble with fat digestion, jaundice and itching, tendency to bleeding tissue, a slow heart rate ( bradycardia) and the associated metabolic disturbances autointoxication. The worst consequence would be a cholämisches coma.
