Choli

The choli (Hindi: चोली coli ) is the traditional blouse for sari, the wrap dress of the women on the Indian subcontinent. In certain areas it is also called blouse or jacket.

It often consists of the same material and the same color as the saree the wearer, which is why most of the acquired Sari, a similar piece of cloth is included for the choli.

The Choli is a very tight cut on body shape blouse. You can free the belly. Nowadays, there are many different forms. Times longer, sometimes shorter, with round or pointed neckline. Very modern are tank.

Women in rural areas of Gujarat and Rajasthan wear Choli often combined with a gypsy skirt ( called Lehnga, Lehanga or lehenga ). Their cholis are less tightly than in other areas and heavily decorated with jewelry, embroidery and sequins.
