Chom Phra District
Amphoe Chom Phra ( Thai: อำเภอ จอมพระ ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the province of Surin. The Surin province is located in the northeast region of Thailand, the so-called Isaan.
Geography
Amphoe Chom Phra borders the following districts (from north clockwise): Amphoe Tha Tum to, Sanom, Sikhoraphum, Khwao Sinarin and Mueang Surin Province Surin and Buriram Province to Amphoe Satuek.
History
Chom Phra 1959 initially as a small district ( King Amphoe ) was established by its territory was separated from Amphoe Tha Tum. On July 27, 1965, he was officially promoted to Amphoe.
Management
Amphoe Chom Phra is divided into nine subdistricts (tambon ), which are further subdivided into 105 villages ( Muban ).
There are three small towns ( thesaban tambon) in the district:
- Chom Phra ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล จอมพระ ), consisting of parts of the Tambon Chom Phra,
- Krahat ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล กระ หาด ), consisting of the whole tambon Krahat,
- Bu Kraeng ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล บุ แก รง ), consisting of the entire Tambon Bu Kraeng.
In addition, there are seven " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
