CHOP

CHOP is the abbreviation for a chemotherapy regimen for the treatment of malignant lymphomas, including aggressive T- and B - NHL. It includes the drugs

  • Cyclophosphamide

  • Vincristine ( Oncovin ®)
  • Prednisolone ( lo ) n

That the combination with the monoclonal antibody rituximab ( MabThera ®) as R -CHOP or R- protocol CHOEP protocol ( CHOP plus etoposide ) influences the prognosis is favorable, has already been shown in studies. Rituximab is a monoclonal antibody against CD20 - positive cells. When CD20 is a receptor on B-lymphocytes, which leads on the one hand, by binding of the antibody via the ion channel opening on the other hand to complement cell lysis.
