Chris Conner

Chris Conner ( born December 23, 1983 in Westland, Michigan ) is an American professional ice hockey player who is since July 2013 when the Pittsburgh Penguins in the National Hockey League contract.

Career

Chris Conner began his career as a hockey player 2002 in ice hockey team of the Michigan Technological University, where he played until 2006, a total of four years. On 13 July 2006, the Americans signed a contract as a free agent with the Dallas Stars. In the years 2006 to 2008 Conner played mainly for Dallas at that time the farm team, the. Iowa Stars of the American Hockey League His first goal in the National Hockey League scoring Conner on 27 December 2006 in a game against the Colorado Avalanche.

From the 2008/ 09 season, Conner was both in the squad of the Pittsburgh Penguins, playing at first but mainly farm team in Wilkes -Barre Penguins in the AHL. During the 2010/11 season he was promoted to regular in Pittsburgh after key players like Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin had failed in the longer term. At season's end, the Penguins did not renew his contract, so that Conner was taken in July 2011 as a free agent by the Detroit Red Wings under contract. A year later, he received a contract with the Phoenix Coyotes. In July 2013 he signed a one-year contract with the Pittsburgh Penguins.
