Chris Farlowe

Chris Farlowe ( born October 13, 1940 in Islington, London, when John Henry Deighton ) is an English R & B singer.

Life and work

Chris Farlowe began his musical career at the John Henry Skiffle Group; from 1962, he led the group Thunderbirds.

The mid 1960s, he recorded a series of singles for Immediate Records, on which him covered soul classics, but Rolling Stones tracks. His version of Out of Time became very popular. Mick Jagger 's voice is heard in the background, because Farlowe had simply " übersungen " the master tape of the Rolling Stones. A remarkable comeback succeeded in 1994 with the Reunion Concerts by Jon Hiseman Colosseum. The WDR held the reunification laid on film. Successful tours, new studio and live albums, the band followed.

For many years touring "The Voice" Chris Farlowe solo and with the Norman Beaker band regularly and especially in Germany has a loyal fan base. Since August 2007 he has been on the road together with Clem Clempson ( ex Humble Pie, Colosseum) and the Hamburg Blues Band.
