Chris Gratton

Christopher A. Gratton ( born July 5, 1975 in Brantford, Ontario ) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player who during his active career, among other things, for the Tampa Bay Lightning, Philadelphia Flyers, Buffalo Sabres, Phoenix Coyotes, Colorado Avalanche, Florida Panthers and Columbus Blue Jackets played in the National Hockey League.

Career

Chris Gratton began his career as a hockey player with the Kingston Frontenacs, for which he was active from 1991 to 1993 in the Ontario Hockey League. He was then in the first round selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 1993 as a whole third player from the Tampa Bay Lightning, where he played the next four years in the National Hockey League. Then he signed as a free agent contract with the Philadelphia Flyers, before he returned during the 1998/99 season to Tampa Bay, who forwarded it to the Buffalo Sabres just before the trade deadline in the 1999/2000 season. After three seasons, the Sabres transferred the Center is also close to the end of the Trade Deadline for the Phoenix Coyotes, where he played for one year before he finished the season 2003/ 04 at the Colorado Avalanche. During the lockout in the 2004/ 05 NHL season Gratton paused with ice hockey before he signed a contract with the Florida Panthers received after resumption of gaming operations in the NHL, for which he spent two years active, before 2007, a third time at the Tampa Bay Lightning signed, which submitted it to the end of the Trade Deadline in the 2008 /09 season at the Columbus Blue Jackets, after they had previously turned him to the farm team in the American Hockey League.

Internationally

For Canada Gratton took part in the World Youth Championship in 1993 and the World Championships in 1997 and 1998.
