Chris Guccione (tennis)

Christopher " Chris " Luke Guccione (born 30 July 1985 in Melbourne) is an Australian tennis player.

Career

In 2004 he defeated at the Medibank International, the then number one in the ATP Tour, Juan Carlos Ferrero. In a qualifying match at the Wimbledon Championships in 2005 he hit 50 aces. In his career he has so far won four Challengerturniere on the ATP Tour. In 2007 he reached the final in Adelaide, but lost in three sets against Novak Djokovic almost.

In July 2010 he won his first ATP World Tour title at all in Newport. He defeated in doubles with his partner Carsten Ball in the final of the Mexican Santiago Gonzalez and Travis Rettenmaier Americans.

He is the son of Italian father Santo and Australian mother Diane.
