Chris Holmes (musician)

Christopher John " Chris " Holmes ( born June 23, 1958 in Glendale, California) is an American musician who in the 1980s as a guitarist for the heavy metal band WASP was known.

Biography

Christopher John Holmes was born in Glendale and grew up in Pasadena. As a 11 -year-old he already came into conflict with the law, as he was caught behind the wheel of a car. At the age of 13 he met the later Van Halen guitarist Eddie Van Halen know who lived in his neighborhood. Later that played a Van Halen album Women and Children First with a borrowed guitar from Chris ( Ibanez Destroyer ). At 14, he had already caused several total damage to cars and so they marveled also no one that he left school at 15 and moved to Los Angeles. Holmes chatted with odd jobs and played in bands such as Lax, Hit and Run or slave before 1976 Blackie Lawless met and played with him in the band Sister, from the 1982 WASP emerged. Holmes played in the band until 1989, before he left this and his band Psycho Squad founded. 1997 Holmes returned to W.A.S.P. back to 2001 and played three more studio albums before he got out again. A subsequent European tour with Chris as a substitute for Tracii Guns in LA Guns was canceled. After his departure from W.A.S.P. He was a guitarist in Animal, the band of former WASP guitarist Randy Piper. The band also ex- WASP drummer Tony Richards participated. His guest performance in this band, however, was not of long duration. As low point of his career can be quite the music documentary Decline of Western Civilization Part II: The Metal Years by Penelope Spheeris of 1988 are referred to, in a completely drunken Holmes poolside verbally attacked his mother. In addition, he served several prison sentences for various offenses. Chris Holmes was married to rock musician Lita Ford.
