Chris Ivory

Christopher Ivory ( born March 22, 1988 in Longview ) is an American football player at the position of the running backs. He plays for the New York Jets in the National Football League ( NFL).

College

Ivory played college football for the Washington State University and Tiffin University. Limited by injuries get him in 22 games with 91 runs, 534 yards and four touchdowns and 23 kickoff returns by an average of 22.8 yards. When the coach who recruited him, were replaced, he was no longer on the list of regulars. In August 2009, Ivory was released by the Washington State University for breach of team rules. He then moved to Tiffin, a Division II school ( NCAA), in Ohio, whose team of Dave Walkosky, a former assistant coach at Washington State University, was trained. In his last year of college Ivory scored 39 runs for 223 yards in five games before he had to finish the season with a knee injury. Despite his short stay at Tiffin the power and speed of Ivory was noticed by NFL scouts and he got the chance to be the first player from Tiffin to make the leap to the NFL. The New Orleans Saints were in spite of his injuries on Ivory attention after one of their scouts heard by the enthusiastic recommendations of Walkosky.
