Chris Jones (sprinter)

Chris Jones ( born October 8, 1973) is a former American track and field athlete who specialized discipline was the 400 -meter run.

Sporting controversy

His supposedly greatest sporting success came Jones at the World Athletics Championships 1997 in Athens, when he finished together with Jerome Young, Antonio Pettigrew, and Tyree Washington to compete in the 4 x 400 meters relay first. With 2:56,47 minutes the Americans were here originally for the teams from Great Britain by Roger Black ( 2:56,65 min), the current national record team from Jamaica ( 2:56,75 min ) and Poland (3: 00.26 min). Due to a doping scandal of Antonio Pettigrew originally designated a World Champion U.S. Season 2009 was disqualified.
