Chris LiPuma

Christopher Paul LiPuma ( born March 23, 1971 in Chicago, Illinois ) is a retired American professional ice hockey player. During his career he played for the Tampa Bay Lightning and San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League.

Career

LiPuma played for four years from 1988 to 1992 in the Ontario Hockey League with Kitchener Rangers, with which he participated in the 1989/90 season at the Memorial Cup.

Ungedraftet joined the defenders to season 1992/93 in the professional sector, after signing as a free agent contract with the Tampa Bay Lightning newly established. This remained the Americans four years faithfully and played in every season both in the NHL with the Lightning as well as their farm team, the Atlanta Knights of the International Hockey League. With the Knights, he was at the end of the game year 1993/94 winning the Turner Cup, the champion trophy of the IHL, celebrate. In summer 1996, LiPuma left the franchise Tampa Bay as a free agent and signed a contract with the San Jose Sharks where he was when he was selected by the waiver list by the New Jersey Devils until March 1997 also in the NHL and in the farm team came into use at the Kentucky Thoroughblades.

After the change to the New Jersey Devils LiPuma were no further NHL inserts, after he had played a total of 72 games for Tampa and San Jose. As a result, he played exclusively in the minor league farm team of the NHL clubs for the Orlando Solar Bears, San Antonio Dragons and Chicago Wolves. Further stations were the Baton Rouge Kingfish in the East Coast Hockey League and the Orlando Seals, where he was active as a player-coach in the Atlantic Coast Hockey League and World Hockey Association 2 and after the 2003/ 04 season ended his career.
