Chris Masoe

Chris Masoe ( born May 15, 1979 in Savaii, Samoa ) is a New Zealand rugby union player who has been 20 times for the New Zealand national team, the All Blacks set up.

Prior to joining French Top 14 team Castres Olympique Masoe also played for the Hurricanes in the Super 14 He is able to play all three positions of the third storm series (No. 6-8 ), but he usually plays as a winger.

Masoe is fast, is considered a strong runner with the ball and as a tough defender. In the past he was a permanent member of the New Zealand 7- rugby squad and a member of the gold winning team at the Commonwealth Games 2002. His skills as an allrounder he helped to honor Taranaki Sportsman of the Year in 2002 and the same year he was named New Zealand Sevens Player of the Year appointed. His brother Maselino Masoe is a successful boxer, three -time Olympian and former WBA world champion at middleweight.
