Chris Neil

Chris Neil ( born June 18, 1979 in Flesherton, Ontario ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who since 2001 has been with the Ottawa Senators in the National Hockey League contract.

Career

Chris Neil began his career as a hockey player with the North Bay Centennials, for which he was active from 1996 to 1999 in the Canadian top junior league Ontario Hockey League. During this time he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 1998 in the sixth round as a total 161 players from the Ottawa Senators.

First, however, the attacker spent two years playing for their farm team, the Grand Rapids Griffins of the International Hockey League before the right-handed shooter in the 2001/ 02 season, his debut in the National Hockey League for the Ottawa Senators were, where he has played ever since. Only during the lockout in the 2004/ 05 NHL season was Neil at Ottawa's new farm team of the American Hockey League, the Binghamton Senators, under contract.
