Chris Rock
Christopher " Chris " rock Julius III ( born February 7, 1965 in Andrews, South Carolina, United States) is an American film actor and comedian.
Life
Chris Rock was born in Andrews, South Carolina. Shortly after his birth his family moved to Crown Heights, New York. A few years later the family moved to Bedford - Stuyversant " Bedstuy " Brooklyn, New York, a neighborhood of New York's Brooklyn district with high crime. In school, he was often excluded and beaten by classmates because of his skin color. Because of bullying, he joined the school. His father, Julius skirt worked as a truck driver and newspaper deliveryman. He died in 1988. His mother was a teacher and social worker Rosalie rock for the mentally handicapped. He has three younger siblings named Tony, Kenny and Jordan, who are also actors. His older half-brother Charles died in 2006 after a long battle with alcoholism.
From 1990 to 1993 he appeared in the U.S. comedy show Saturday Night Live. After that he played among others in Lethal Weapon 4, alongside Anthony Hopkins in Bad Company - The world is in good hands and I Think I Love My Wife. His roots in stand- up comedy, he has remained true to this day: He still appears regularly in comedy clubs and bring out live CDs and DVDs.
On 12 March 2003 he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
As a reference to his childhood experiences in 2005, the series Everybody Hates Chris arisen in which he participated as narrator.
In 2005, he hosted the 77th Academy Awards.
Rock held in May 2008 the Guinness record as " Live comedian with the most viewers " with 15,900 visitors at a show in London. This record was, however, 12 July 2008 broken by Mario Barth with about 70,000 spectators at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin.
