Chris Sarandon

Chris Sarandon ( born July 24, 1942 in Beckley, West Virginia, as Christopher Sarandon ) is an American actor.

Life and achievements

The son of a Greek restaurant owner appeared as a teenager on in a musical. He also played with the band The Teen Tones. In 1960 he graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School, after which he studied at West Virginia University and has appeared in other musicals. At the Catholic University of America in Washington, DC He graduated from a theater arts degree.

Sarandon joined 1969-1973 on the television series Guiding Light. In the thriller Dog Days of Sidney Lumet, he played alongside Al Pacino. For this role he was nominated for a 1976 Academy Award and Golden Globe Award for Best Newcomer.

In the comedy Protocol - Everything dances to my tune (1984 ) Sarandon played the role of Michael Ransome who marries Sunny Davis ( Goldie Hawn ). For his role in the horror comedy Fright Night - Fright Night (1985 ) he was nominated for the 1986 Saturn Award.

Chris Sarandon was married from 1967 to 1979, with Susan Sarandon, whom he had met while studying at the Catholic University of America. In 1980, he married Lisa Cooper, with whom he has three children. Since 1994 he has been married to actress Joanna Gleason.
