Chris Small

Chris Small ( born September 26, 1973 in Edinburgh, Scotland ) is a former Scottish snooker player.

Career

Small 1991 pro, winning in 1993 with the Benson & Hedges Championship his first tournament of Snooker Main Tour. The tournament has held the status of a minor ranking tournament at the time.

His greatest success was in 2002 then winning the LG Cup, a full ranking tournament, where he beat among others the world-class players like John Higgins, Ronnie O'Sullivan and Alan McManus in the final.

His best finish on the snooker world ranking he achieved in the 2004/05 season when he was out in 12th place.

2001 Small incurable spine disease ankylosing spondylitis was found. In 2005, he announced his career end because it was too heavy for him to continue playing.
