Chris Thorburn
Chris Thorburn ( born June 3, 1983 in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is since July 2011 the Winnipeg Jets of the National Hockey League contract.
Career
During the NHL Entry Draft 2001 Chris Thorburn was selected as the 50th overall player of the Buffalo Sabres. After Thorburn from 1999 to 2002, played three years with the North Bay Centennials in the Ontario Hockey League, he stood in the 2002/03 season in the two league rivals Saginaw Spirit and Plymouth Whalers under contract.
In summer 2003, playing the aggressor in his first season in professional hockey with the Rochester Americans, the Sabres farm team in the American Hockey League. In the season 2005/ 06 the Canadians made his debut in the National Hockey League when he came for the Sabres in two games for use.
In October 2006, he was set up by the Sabres on the Waiverliste and then selected by the Pittsburgh Penguins. After a season in which he was also three times for the farm team of Pittsburgh, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins used, he was released to the Atlanta Thrashers in exchange for a third-round vote during the NHL Entry Draft in 2007.
