Chris Wilcox

Chris Ray Wilcox ( born September 3, 1982 in Raleigh, North Carolina ) is an American professional basketball player who played for the Boston Celtics. It is used with its 2.08 meters Height as a power forward and center.

Career

He began his career with the Maryland Terrapins and this led to the first winning the NCAA championship. In NBA Draft 2002, he was drafted by the Los Angeles Clippers at 8th position. There he played until the season 2005/2006. On 14 February 2006 he was in exchange for Vladimir Radmanovic getraded to the Seattle SuperSonics. His contract was renewed in late 2006 for $ 19.5 million for three years until 2009.

On 19 February 2009, he was transferred for Malik Rose to the New York Knicks.

On 22 July 2009 he signed a contract for several years with the Detroit Pistons.

On December 9, 2011 Wilcox signed a contract with the Boston Celtics. After they had found an enlarged aorta with him, Wilcox had to undergo surgery. To make room in the squad, was released in March 2012 Wilcox from his current contract, offered him, however, after recovering from surgery a new one-year contract to.
