Chris Woodruff

Chris Woodruff ( born January 2, 1973 in Knoxville, Tennessee ) is a former American professional tennis player.

Career

Chris Woodruff reached in his career with 29th place in August 1997, the highest ranking in the tennis singles world rankings. In the same year he won the Canada Masters against Gustavo Kuerten, a tournament of the ATP Masters Series. The second tournament win was followed in 1999 in Newport, Rhode Iceland, the place where the International Tennis Hall of Fame.

The Americans played three matches for the U.S. Davis Cup team. He won one but lost two games ( 1-2). Woodruff's active career as a professional tennis player lasted from 1993 to 2002.
