Christian Aebersold

Christian Aebersold (born 1962 ) is a former Swiss orienteers. 1991, 1993 and 1995, he was world champion with the Swiss relay.

Aebersold from 1980 to 1998 Member of the SOLV national squad. His greatest successes were the three world title, which he won with the Swiss Season 1991, 1993, 1995. Other runners in the Swiss squadrons at that time were Thomas Buehrer, Alain Berger, Urs Flühmann Dominik Humbel and Daniel Hotz. His best results in individual he reached in 1991 in Czechoslovakia, when he was on the long distance and sixth in the sprint, fourth.

Aebersold won the Swiss Championship on the classic long distance, 1986, 1987, 1988 and 1990. 1986 and 1987 he was awarded the STB Swiss champion in 1988 and 1991, he won in the relay STB / CO Chenau / OLG Basel country, two more times again in 1996 and 1998 with the CO Chenau. Aebersold works as a doctor in Biel. He made 1990 the state examination in medicine at the University of Bern. 1995 to 1998 was followed by a sports medical training.
