Christian Classics Ethereal Library

The Christian Classics Ethereal Library ( Classische Christian texts electronically ), abbreviated CCEL, is a project of American theologians and Philologinnen and philologists. The project intends the 1000 most important classical texts of theology (and philosophy ) that are in the public domain, to be published in electronic form.

Objectives

  • A good English translation of the Bible should be available.
  • The subject should be important for theology students.
  • Commentaries, dictionaries, encyclopedias and other reference works to be included
  • Classic sermons and preaching Comments must be contained
  • The Bible and other important works to be included in the original language and in English
  • Greek and Hebrew study tools should be made available

  • Internet
  • CD -ROM or DVD cheaper to buy or for students in the two- thirds world or nothing.
  • There shall be no copyright.

Management and editorship

The CCEL is currently being performed at Calvin College (Michigan, USA) and published. From 1995-1999 she was in the Wheaton College (s ), Illinois home, in front of the University of Pittsburgh ( 1993-1995) The line currently has Harry Plantinga, professor of computer science at Calvin College.
