Christian de Portzamparc

Christian de Portzamparc ( born May 5, 1944 in Casablanca / Morocco ) is a French architect and town planner.

De Portzamparc studied at the École nationale supérieure des beaux -arts de Paris from 1962 to 1969 in Paris. He won in 1994 the first Frenchman to the prestigious, awarded since 1979 Pritzker Prize. In Germany he is known by the completed in October 2002 at the French Embassy in Berlin. In 1997, the honorary membership in the covenant, he was awarded German Architects BDA.

Christian de Portzamparc is Chair of artistic creation at the Collège de France.
