Christian Goethals

Kurt Christian Goethals (* August 4, 1928 in Heule, † 26 February 2003 in Kortrijk ) was a Belgian racing driver.

Christian Goethals was an amateur who was with Porsche vehicles in national sports car racing at the start in the 1950s. In 1956 he was second in the sports car race in Reims in the 1500 cc class.

In 1958, he rented a Cooper T43, with whom he was also the Grand Prix of Germany at the start. A gasoline pump failure stopped the drive from Goethals prematurely.

The Belgians soon saw that single-seater races were too quick for him, and moved his activities back to sports car racing. In 1960 he finished fifth at the 1000 km of Buenos Aires. After a serious accident at the Grand Prix of Angola the end of 1960 he retired from racing.
