Christian Hadinata
Christian Hadinata ( born December 11, 1949 in Purwokerto, Jawa Tengah, formerly known as Tjhie Beng Goat ) is a former Indonesian badminton player from PB Djarum. Christian Hadinatas and Rudy Hartonos wives, Yoke Anwar Anwar and Jane are sisters.
Career
Christian Hadinata was one of the greatest doubles players in this sport in the 1970s. 1974 Hadinata occupied second place at the Asian Games with Ade Chandra in men's doubles. 1972 and 1973 he won at the All England, the then unofficial world championships, also in a double with Ade Chandra.
1973 and 1976 he won with the Indonesian team in the Thomas Cup. At the Olympics in 1972, where badminton was played as a demonstration sport, he won the final with Ade Chandra against Ng Boon Bee and Punch Gunalan in three sets. In 1977, he was with Chandra Vice World Champion at the 1st Badminton World Championship behind his compatriots Tjun Tjun and Johan Wahjudi. In 1980, he made it all the way up, and both the double and in mixed doubles.
