Christian of Thuringia

Christian ( † 950 ), probably of the family of Bill Unger, was from 937 Count in Thuringia Nordthüringgau and Schwabengau and from 945 Graf in the neighboring district Serimunt.

He was married to Hidda († 970 in Jerusalem during a pilgrimage ), sister of the Margrave Gero of the Saxon Ostmark I..

His son inherited Thietmar 965 Margrave Gero in Serimunt Gau, Gau Nizizi and since 976 in the Mark Merseburg and Meissen. The second son, Gero was 969-976 Archbishop of Cologne.
