Christian Panucci (born 12 April 1973 in Savona, Italy ) is a retired Italian footballer.

Career

In the club

Christian Panucci was a combative and sturdy defenders. He debuted in the 1992/93 season with his former club Genoa in Serie A. Then he stood by a number of clubs under contract, including AC Milan, Real Madrid and AS Roma. After the Roma did not renew his contract, he moved in 2009 free transfer to FC Parma. On 23 February 2010 the premature termination of his contract at FC Parma was announced. As a motive he gave to personal reasons. Finally, it was announced that he has terminated due to his relationship with the model Rosaria Cannavo his career.

In the National Team

In the Italian national Christian Panucci debuted in 1994. Yet his first major tournament he played until the age of 29 at the 2002 World Cup in Japan and South Korea. In 2007, he was three years his comeback for Italy. With his goal in the group stage of the European Championship in 2008 against Romania Panucci was 35 years, two months and one day to the oldest Italian international, who has scored a international goal.
