Christian Rahn

Christian Rahn ( born June 15, 1979 in Hamburg -Altona ) is a German football player.

Career

Beginnings in Hamburg

He started his career Rahn, who can play on both the left midfield position as well as full-back left in the back four, while domestic Altona 93 and still moved as a teenager in 1994 for FC St. Pauli. There he went through the youth teams, until he came to the Bundesliga in his first two short sessions at the end of the 1996/97 season. A final regular place in the team Rahn fought for within the season 1999 /2000. In the following season 2000/01 season with FC St. Pauli he achieved promotion to the Bundesliga. It was followed by a season as a regular player in the Bundesliga, but ended in a renewed descent. The highlight of this season was the victory against the reigning world champions FC Bayern Munich ( " World Cup Winners ' conqueror ' ) on 6 February 2002. At St. Pauli Christian Rahn also became the A-National player.

He then moved in 2002 to the Hamburg local rivals HSV. After a lengthy knee injury, the left-footed but could not prevail. In the first season he was only 9 missions. In the second season he managed only during the second half, to fight for a regular place. In only 22 Season inserts Rahn scored seven goals, including four in a free kick. Thus, Rahn played again briefly in the national team back. He could not hold that level, however, and was therefore taken during the 2004/05 season by HSV coach Thomas Doll permanently from the starting eleven.

About Cologne to Rostock

In January 2005, he then left the Hamburger SV and went for a transfer fee of 150,000 euros for the 1 FC Cologne in the Bundesliga 2, which he achieved promotion to the Bundesliga. Unlike in the promotion season Rahn played in the now trained by Uwe Rapolder team in the defensive department and had at times fought for a starting place at left-back. Nevertheless, the 1.FC Cologne and Christian Rahn went to the 2005/06 season separate ways.

On 26 June 2006, he completed a trial with second division side TSV 1860 Munich, to which he wanted to change according to own data absolutely. Apparently this change, however, failed to salary Rahn. Then the players completed the pre-season at Hansa Rostock. Frank Pagelsdorf, his former coach at Hamburger SV, the player's request came after and puts him in the friendlies. Although a commitment was initially excluded both from club side as well as by Rahn, FC Hansa announced on 28 July 2006 the contract, according to which Rahn was committed for an initial two years at the Baltic Sea coast. There he impressed on the left midfield position again with good performances and contributed greatly to that Hansa Rostock remained unbeaten the entire season so far. Also the rise, he managed with Hansa Rostock and it had substantial portion with two free-kick goals in the last two games. However, in the following season he went with Rostock immediately get in the 2nd Bundesliga. After Rostock had fallen in danger of relegation again in this first round during the 2008/ 09, Rahn has been removed for the winter break as one of four players from the squad of the Baltic Sea dwellers.

Rahn at Greuther Fürth and Jahn Regensburg

Beginning of January 2009 signed a contract until 2011 Rahn for SpVgg Greuther Fürth. After the 2011/12 season, his contract was not renewed with the shamrocks. Rahn then took the training camp of the Association of Contract football players ( VDV) in part, before he signed a one-year contract with the second division promoted SSV Jahn Regensburg on August 2, 2012. After the season, he went back to FC St. Pauli, for which he runs in the 2013/14 season in the U-23 team.
